The
Game of Life and How to Play It came to me
during a very sad, unhappy period of time in my life
– I had foolishly given my personal power away and
it felt as if my life force was draining from me.
Then a miracle occurred. I met a wonderful woman who
saw the light of God shining within me trying so
desperately to survive the physical world. She asked
the angels what she could do to help me and they led
her to her bookcase. As she stood there in front of
the books, she asked which one to loan to me. The
Game of Life and How to Play It, by Florence
Scovel Shinn fell to the floor!
 As I read the words of wisdom Florence shared in the
book, I couldn’t put it down. What Florence had
written so many years before resonated deep within
me. It was as if I "woke up" and stepped into my
personal power. My fear began to dissipate -
love and gratitude took its place. All that no
longer served me began to melt away. I began
sleeping again, so I felt better! My true
relationships improved and those who pulled me down
and drained me of energy bowed out of my circle. Every time
I turned around I came face to face with another
blessing - I began to genuinely love my life!
Then I was laid off - a single mom with a small
child. A friend talked another friend into
hiring me with at a 40% cut in pay. I
was grateful to have the job even at a pay cut!
The silver lining to this startling life event
turned out to be Platinum not silver - Platinum!
Within FOUR years:
* my wage increased 250% - without any further
education!!
* my insurance was paid in full by the company
* I had FIVE weeks paid vacation -with more time off
if I needed or wanted it
* I worked flexible hours
* AND my boss put family first - including mine - so
no more guilt when my daughter was sick and I had to
stay home and take care of her!!
THEN... I left
the corporate world and the job I loved to move to a
new city and create my own business. I thought
I loved my work before - now I know what it really
means to
love my work and Love My Life!!!
What I've learned is
that we truly are as an onion working through our
fears brought on by physical world teachings.
We identify and release a fear to only find more of
it perhaps years later. This is exciting
because finding more fear within us is true proof of
